The Foyer

The foyer is the first space as you enter a home and the first impression you get of the experience to come. We wanted to convey a sense of warmth and comfort by using wonderful materials and textures. A limestone floor grounds the room. The woodwork is a mix of smooth and rough textured boards and the walls glow with a fine grass cloth that is the same color of the wainscoting. The furniture is covered in fabrics from luxe velvet to scoured linen. The point is contrast - familiar elements reinterpreted in an unusual way. Taking the edge off formal and making it comfortable. The richness of a room is defined by the materials used within it and the way in which they blend together to tell a story.

Biography

David Nault and Paul White both attended college in New York, graduating from FIT. Paul's education in fashion design and David's in graphic arts led them into the world of fashion. Together, they designed a line of women's clothing under the name of Paul White. After three years of collaboration in the fashion world they directed their attention towards interior design. It was a natural transition for them as they were used to creating couture-level clothing with a polished style.

Weena & Spook is named after two cats the duo had who have since passed away. The company's whimsical name is a reflection of their lighthearted sense of humor which they integrate into their interior designs. The Weena & Spook look is clean and tailored, with a great love for texture and construction detail.
